This year at the Fulbright English Program, I mentored 20 new English Teaching Assistants. During the mentorship, the ETAs observed my classes, taught 1-2 lessons, and also assisted in the club classes. After each lesson they taught, I provided feedback on their lesson and suggested ways in which they could improve. Before their lesson, we also met to discuss their lesson plan and ways to make it as successful as possible.
In the club class, ETAs acted as an assistant teacher, helping students when needed and providing other neccessary aid. ETAs also helped during Activity Weekend, Night Fun activities, and homework time. This was also the first year of the extended Junior Counselor program to provide JCs with more leadership opportunities. JCs lead introductory activities in 2-3 classes per week, and also helped during club classes.
